Hello

I’m Teresa, a CIM-qualified senior marketing professional with over 25 years’ experience working primarily in B2B manufacturing and technically focused businesses.

I’ve built my career leading marketing functions from within organisations, working closely with managing directors, leadership teams, sales functions and product specialists. My roles have combined strategic responsibility with hands-on leadership, shaping marketing direction, developing go-to-market approaches, building teams and agency networks, and ensuring marketing delivers real commercial value.

Over the years, this has included supporting acquisitions, launching new products, managing rebrands and portfolio changes, and building lead generation and reporting frameworks across evolving markets and international structures.

That background means I don’t approach marketing as theory. I see it as a commercial function inside a business - one that needs to support sales, clarify positioning, enable growth and adapt as markets, products and priorities change.

How Manufacturing Shaped My Career

My first long-term marketing role was in manufacturing, and it stayed with me. I discovered that I genuinely enjoy technical products. I like understanding how things work, how they’re made, where they fit, and why customers choose them. I’m naturally curious, and I’ve always enjoyed spending time on factory floors, talking to engineers, and translating complex detail into something clear, compelling and commercially useful.

Over the years, I’ve worked across sectors including packaging, instrumentation, safety products, industrial manufacturing and businesses supplying into industries such as food & beverage, pharma, chemical and oil & gas. I’ve led marketing in single-site businesses and within international groups, often acting as the bridge between global strategy and local commercial reality.

Manufacturing environments change quickly. New innovations come to market. Competitors evolve. Customer expectations shift. Production challenges arise. I’m used to working in that space, where marketing has to stay commercially grounded, adaptable, and closely aligned to sales, product and leadership teams.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, life stays busy in a good way. My dogs make sure I get outdoors regularly, and my German Shepherd, Luna, is never far away — she’s currently being trained in scent work, which she takes very seriously.

I also took up running later than most, after many years of being convinced it “wasn’t for me.” It’s now part of my weekly routine and something I genuinely enjoy. I’ve lived and worked in Italy in my early career, which sparked a lasting love of travel, warm climates and discovering new places. That curiosity and enjoyment of learning new things is something that carries through into both my work and my life outside it.
